We’ve hit pause on the EXTRA Newsletter while we implement new AI systems to improve the quality and relevance of the stories we bring you. In the meantime, we didn’t want you to miss out on the content programs we’re running.
Next up this Thursday, Wevr CEO Neville Spiteri will join our host Brent Bushnell to discuss the IP landscape for LBEXR. Wevr’s lab is on the Warner Bros studio lot in Burbank, and WB is an investor in the company. They’re the team behind the amazing Harry Potter Dreamscape VR experience in NY, and have been building in this space for a decade.
Huddle’s are a chance for you to connect with other LEXRA members. There will be small breakout groups to discuss key topics, and members will have a chance to share their insights and questions with the group. Please join us; we want your voice to be heard. You must be a LEXRA member to join the Huddle. Join now!
Last night I had a call with Antoine Leiutaud, founder and CEO of Eclipso. They’re operating 14 venues now, so they have a solid grasp on what it takes to be successful, or not. Antoine has been quite open with me in sharing their learnings, and I can’t wait to share them with the LEXRA community next week. If you’re curious about the new cultural, art, and storytelling experiences like Horizons of Khufu, Titanic, and others, this one’s for you. I will be sharing new insights on how arcades can incorporate this content into their operations to fill those slow weekday slots.
AMA’s are open to anyone; you DO NOT have to be a LEXRA member to participate.
Next month’s Huddle will feature Stephanie Riggs, one of the most amazing people I know. Besides having written two best-selling books: The End of Storytelling and Quantum Narratives, she’s recently built a new AI OS called Pearl. Stephanie is part of our new AI Committee at LEXRA, and will be sharing how we can use AI in a way that benefits humans - you know, us.
And just over the horizon, Jean Noel Chiganne, whose work building VR Arcade games dates back to the last decade, will be leading a conversation with our operators about what makes games work for them and for the players. If you’ve ever had ideas about how to make games better for your business, this is your chance to help create best practices to help the industry move forward.
If you’ve been intending to join LEXRA and just haven’t gotten around to it, today is the day. Just click here - it takes two minutes.
If you’re on the fence, consider this my personal plea. If any of my work has ever had a positive impact on you or your business, becoming a LEXRA member is a great way to say thank you while building the community that moves us all forward, together.
I also want to welcome our two newest Founding Board members: HTC VIVE, represented by Dave Meyers, and IMMOTION, represented by their founder and CEO, Rod Findley. While HTC needs no introduction, you might not be familiar with IMMOTION. They now operate in over 160 zoos, aquariums, theme parks, science centers, and even shopping malls. They have one of the largest networks of VR motion theaters and have cracked the code on building a successful operating business. And they were just named one of the Fast Company “Most Innovative Companies" for 2026.
Our board members are extremely accessible. If you need an intro, just let me know. They’re here to help.
Stay Immersed,
Bob Cooney
